I have been working for the last several months on re-igniting the spark that once was KCVDS (Kaiba Corp Virtual Duel System) and staying true to it's true "Edison" format, and maintaining what the state of Yugioh was back in the day before XYZ, before Pendulum and before Links existed... I am a firm believer that these mechanics ruined the true skill and nature of Yugioh in general. KCVDS will not only stand as a revival of a game cherished by many back in the early 2000's, but almost allowing Duelists to step back in time, and enjoy the game prior to these massive archtypes and pre-made for combo decks. I understand that many people enjoy the game state and how it has evolved today, and I have been a part of several YCS, and Local events in recent years, I understand the need to evolve. But there's no doubt that the true casual fun of the game has been long gone, and I would like to establish this as a space where that is possible wile also maintaining the manual features of the Duel system. No automation...
I have opted out to upgrade / program in any form of automation, outside of the regular Deck shuffling, drawing for turn, etc.
With automated duel systems, we have seemed to have gotten away from actual skillful play online with other duel systems. Yes this can bring up the fact that users will likely argue over rules etc. I am a firm believer that if we are able to establish a healthy Mod/Admin team here, we will be able to have some form of rule/judge enforcement, even outside of just Mods. Having a judge panel would be a great idea (More to think of on this one.)
I am still interested to hear your thoughts, will you be interested? will you play?
